Language learning necessitates to learn the main language skills. Language has four skills which are reading, writing, listening and speaking. The book “Writing Skill” deals with one of the four skills, that is, writing. The book introduces different kinds of writing such as literary writing, memorial writing, travelogue, biography, letter writing, short story, novels, plays etc but some explanations given for each it these fields are extra and many of them are repetitive and can be found in many other books. Persian alphabet and spelling is one important subject in the book. Iran’s Persian Academy has many different pamphlets about this. So this part of the book seems to be just a repetition. This book deals with the methods of punctuation, summarization, reference, documentation and official writing. On the whole, the book can be useful those who work to organize their writings, but many parts of the book seem to be repetitive.
